How it Started
We grew up in a home where homemade meals and family gatherings were a priority. It often looked like our grandma pinching perogies while our grandpa carefully peeled potatoes, listening to her guidance. Gram would even ask what we wanted for dinner before breakfast was even over. Our parents continued this tradition, creating a warm and welcoming home filled with laughter, good conversation, and food at its heart.
These moments became some of our most cherished memories. As we got older, we realized these were the values we wanted to carry forward into our own homes.
In a time filled with uncertainty in 2020, we came together to create a home for our childhood recipes and passion for cooking—and that’s how Made Right Nutrition was created. We began by sharing healthy recipes with our online community through photos and videos of our recipes.
As life evolved—Alli became a mother, and Karlee graduated, we found ourselves re-inspired to serve the community directly. This led us to create children’s meal prep boxes that deliver healthy favourites, while also educating families on nutrition, meal planning, and sharing our recipes.
“To us, nutrition goes beyond just what’s on your plate, it’s about how you feel before, during, and after eating. We believe food has the power to heal and to nurture connection from an early age. Our mission is to simplify your lives while ensuring your little ones receive the essential nutrients they need to grow into healthy adults.”

The Faces Behind Made Right Nutrition
Karlee Davidson
Cofounder
Karlee has always had a passion for healthy eating, exercise, and serving others which led her to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Food Science degree with a minor in nutrition communication and education from the University of Alberta.
Karlee has experience in nutrition education and has prepared and served meals to children as part of a school breakfast program, developed a nutrition education program based on evidence-based resources, taught hands-on cooking skills to children in schools, and delivered nutrition presentations to athletes.
She believes that fostering healthy core values begins at a young age and that by promoting nutritious eating habits, we can empower children to understand the healing potential of food.
Outside of work, Karlee enjoys running in nature, hitting the neighborhood gym, and spending quality time with family and friends. Her favourite food is pasta in any form and she loves listening to a mixture of jazz, country, or folk while cooking.
